Two attorneys. Two nonprofit leaders. A shared commitment to building organizations that last.
Meet the Founders
Founder
Katherine Greenslade, Esq.
Katherine brings extensive experience scaling and restructuring nonprofit legal programs, developing leaders, designing service models, and building collaborations across organizations.
Her work has included growing legal programs into multi-team operations, developing new service models, building leadership and management structures, creating statewide initiatives, training attorneys and emerging leaders, and helping organizations navigate periods of significant growth and change.
She brings the perspective of a leader who has had to turn complex organizational challenges into systems that actually work.
Founder
Danielle DeWinter, Esq.
Danielle has spent her career building and leading nonprofit legal programs, with particular experience in organizational growth, program development, leadership, collaboration, and access to justice.
Her work has included developing new programs and teams, building infrastructure to support growth, navigating major changes in service demand, developing statewide collaborations, and helping organizations turn funding opportunities into sustainable programs.
She brings a practical perspective shaped by having been responsible for the work herself, not simply advising someone else who was.
We’ve Been in the Work
The work behind LaurelRoot
These experiences are the foundation of LaurelRoot.
They taught us that organizational challenges rarely stay in one category. A new program affects staffing. Growth affects leadership. Leadership affects structure. Structure affects systems. And sometimes the solution to a problem inside one organization begins with building something together with others.
That's why we look at the whole picture.
Not because every organization needs to change everything.
Because the right change depends on understanding what is actually happening underneath the surface.
That's where we begin.
Ready to build what's next?
Bring us the challenge.
We'll start there.
